Using your student email address and password, you can access thousands of eBooks, journal and magazine articles, and many other e-resources online 24/7.

  1. Verify that you are currently enrolled at Cerro Coso.
    • Log in to insideCC to verify that you are enrolled.
    • If you have just registered for a course, it may take up to a week for access to be granted.
    • You must be enrolled in at least one course at Cerro Coso. If you are enrolled in courses at Bakersfield College or Porterville College, please use the resources at those libraries.
  1. Verify that your Cerro Coso email and password are correct.
    • These credentials are the same as the ones used to log in to insideCC or Canvas.
    • Include the entire email address (e.g. your.name1234@email.cerrocoso.edu).
    • If you do not know your Cerro Coso email address and/or password, please visit the Tech Support page. Library staff do not have access to this information.
  1. If you are still denied access, check your computer settings.
    • Try using a different browser such as Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.
    • Try deleting cookies and search history from your web browser. Make sure cookies are enabled in your browser.
    • Change the configuration on your firewall to allow access to databases.
    • If all else fails, wait an hour to see if it is a temporary database access issue.
    • If you are still denied access, please visit the Tech Support Service Center and click “Create Case” to submit a request to access library resources.
  1. If you can access the database but still have issues, email the library.
    • Describe the problem in as much detail as possible, including what you have already tried, whether you are testing from on or off campus, and the page you are accessing the link from (The library catalog or database page, an instructor's Canvas page, etc.).
    • Include screenshots if applicable.
