Head Baseball Coach and Interim Athletic Director, Justus Scott, has been selected for a full-time Physical Education faculty position at the college. Scott will join the Physical Education Department, a group of enthusiastic faculty that help students meet their Wellness General Education requirements and encourage students to improve their overall health and optimal well-being.
He joined Cerro Coso in the fall of 2014, bringing a wealth of coaching knowledge and experience, ranging from the professional, collegiate, high school, and summer collegiate league ranks. In addition to his teaching assignment, Scott will continue to be Head Coach of the Coyote Baseball Team.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Memphis, and a Master of Science in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation from Middle Tennessee State University. Scott replaces Professor Bill Locke who retired in May after 36 years of service.
