Cerro Coso Community College is committed to providing a welcoming environment, quality education, and path to success for veterans, dependents and the military community. The College is hosting a special Military and Veterans College Night on Thursday, July 27th from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Learning Resource Center Foyer at the Ridgecrest Campus.
The event is open to the public but tailored to military, veterans, and their dependents to share information on the many benefits and services the college has to offer. Information will be provided on how to apply for military education benefits, how those benefits might change their financial aid packages, and who on campus to turn to for support and answers.
A college orientation will be held from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. The Counseling, Career Center, Financial Aid, and Veterans Services departments will all be on hand to assist with applications, information, and to connect participants with the many resources available to them to prepare them for academic success and a meaningful college experience.
“We want them all to know that we support, appreciate, and are here for them,” said Alfonso Guzman, Educational Adviser and a U.S. Army Veteran.
Refreshments will be served and event will be followed by a special FREE showing of Fantastic Beasts in the Sculpture Garden at 8:15 p.m.
For more information on the event contact Alfonzo Guzman in the College Counseling Center at 760-384-6219.
